Recall Foundations
We will cover all the basics about training an effective recall foundation including:
  • What to do and what not to do!
  • How distractions and breed tendencies can be used to your advantage.
  • How to identify holes in your training.
  • How to layer in distractions.

Jumpers Anonymous
We will cover all the basics about training polite dog greetings including:
  • Why training has not been working for you so far.
  • Management and how to reduce your dog practicing the behaviour.
  • How to train a new, more desirable, behaviour that sticks!

Distraction Busters
We will cover all the basics about training dogs to respond to cues and commands outside of your home, including:
  • Why training has not been working for you so far
  • Mechanics
  • Engagement and why it's important
  • How to layer in distractions effectively

Prerequisites Needed for Distraction Busters
Dogs need to have reliable responses to basic cues or commands in a no distraction environment. E.g. dog can sit at home when asked, but can't sit when asked at the trail head.
Format: 
  • Each workshop will be 2 hours long.
  • Class starts with 30 mins of theory without dogs and then 90 mins of training dogs.

Workshops are suitable for:
  • Dogs that can be around other dogs when on leash
  • Dogs that can settle in the car for 30 minutes is helpful
  • Humans that are good at doing homework!!
  • Some basic prerequisites may be required. Check each class description for more info. 
  • Fully vaccinated puppies and dogs aged 17 weeks and older
Price:
Working Spots: $99.75 (includes GST)
Auditing Spots: $46.25 (includes GST) 

Working spots = bring your dog.
Auditing spots = leaving your dog at home.

All family members involved in your dog's daily life are welcome to attend!
Reactive Dogs
Currently workshops are not suitable for dogs that will bark or growl at other dogs while on leash. Please contact Amanda directly at the email link below if you are looking for reactivity solutions.
Vaccination Requirements 
​Dogs must be up to date on DHPP or equivalent vaccinations for all classes. Titre test results are also accepted for adult dogs. Bordetella is recommended but not required.

Proof of vaccination must be provided before class.
