Amanda Hamilton, BSc, KPA-CTP, FDM - Owner & Head Coach
Amanda has been helping people and their dogs in one way or another since 2003. Amanda started her professional life with animals as a BC SPCA Animal Care Worker and has worked in various animal related roles from vet hospitals to owning her own pet store, dog walking & dog daycare business from 2007 to 2022.
Amanda's passion for dog training & behaviour took off in 2016 when she brought home Polly, a young Border Collie with anxiety and noise sensitivity. Amanda's quest to find effective solutions for Polly led her to becoming a certified dog trainer with Karen Pryor Academy. She then progressed to more in depth behaviour programs, completing Dr Susan Friedman's Living and Learning with Animals course and IAABCs Principles & Practices program. After interning with Ren Epp and Jeanne Shaw at Love 2 Play in 2017, Amanda started offering her own training and coaching programs through In Tuition Animal Training & Behaviour in 2018.
On her days off, Amanda hikes everyday with her dogs. She also trains and competes in herding, agility and dabbles in other sports.
